I will not guess. Those signs can have several causes in the appliance, outlet, cord, connection, or circuit, and remote diagnosis cannot establish which one. The current product page lists a substantial 1400W load at 220–240V and 50/60Hz. It offers EU Type F and AU Type I plug options and expressly says the included adapter does not convert voltage.
Electrical Safety First's official travel-adapter guidance states that travel adaptors do not convert voltage or frequency. A shape adapter cannot make a 220–240V appliance suitable for a 120V supply. Compatibility must be confirmed from the appliance rating, local supply, correct plug, grounding requirements, and manufacturer instructions before use.

Before normal operation—not while a warning condition is active—verify the rating label, outlet supply, plug option, and manual. Use a suitable wall outlet unless the manufacturer explicitly permits another arrangement. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission's extension-cord safety guidance warns that cords can overheat when an appliance draws more watts than the cord is rated to handle and describes extension cords as temporary wiring. Good maintenance cannot turn an incompatible garment into a compatible one. The product is a poor match if your wardrobe is dominated by crisp tailored details, heavily lined or embellished pieces, restricted-care fabrics, garments that do not fit the forms, or whole loads that must be ready at once. It is also a poor match where a safe, compatible 220–240V connection is unavailable. Calling those limits “user error” only delays a better decision.
